WHO ARE WE?
Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) in the Food, Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Human (FANH) sciences provide formal and non-formal educational and experiential learning opportunities for students seeking to gain skills applicable to the food and agricultural sciences. This Education Coordination Network (ECN) provides a collaborative national community of practice for REEU program directors and participants.
National REEU-ECN supports REEU program directors (PDs) and their students through a community of practice, whereby PDs and student members share values, scientific interests, and collaborative attitudes to make REEU programs more accessible to all non-participating colleges and universities. The FANH Scientists’ Network is a centralized digital hub and clearinghouse for REEU PDs and participants to share program materials, outputs, lessons learned.
WHAT DO WE DO?
National REEU-ECN sustains a national community of practice for REEU programs to facilitate project activities, enhance collaboration among REEU participants, offer communication skills training, and promote REEU program awareness through public events.
REEU participants continously develop communication skills through the FANH Scientists’ Network, which will increase awareness, engagement, and appreciation of REEU programs.
